11th ANNUAL FILIPINO CULTURAL CELEBRATION
Theme: Celebrate our Youth, Leaders of Tomorrow
It was a wonderful and sunny Saturday, on June 9, 2012, when the association opened its 11th Annual Filipino Cultural Celebration on the grounds of Oceanside Civic Center, Plaza and Library.
People of all ages, from all walks of life, came to the event. There were many kids and youth who witnessed the festival, some participated and some had volunteered to assist in making the event successful. The celebration is after all dedicated to them with this year’s theme, “Celebrate our Youth, Leaders of Tomorrow”.

The celebration was hosted by excellent emcee Ted Lintan.

Philippine National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” was sung by the Officers and Members of FACANSDC.

The American National Anthem “Star Spangled Banner” was rendered by Michelle Lababit.

The celebration should be blessed with solemn prayers led by Dir. Pete Cruz.

Incumbent President Amelia Sivage welcomed the crowd who joined the celebration.

Oceanside Library Head Sherri Cosby delivered her opening remarks as partner of the association in this event.

President Amelia Sivage handed the association’s annual donation of $1,000 to Oceanside Library headed by Sherri Cosby.

Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood added more luster to the day with his inspirational speech.
Guest speaker for the event was the beautiful, smart and talented Capt. Paz Gomez.
