The June 13th Filipino cultural celebration will not be complete without the SHOWCASE OF TALENT of gifted and artistic FIL-AM’s. It is a show that captivates the audience as performers demonstrate their abilities to sing, dance or play musical instruments.

Conrad Giles Jr., a fifth grader who graduated from Casita Center Elementary this year. He enjoys to box as he has joined an amateur team with Rhino Boxing.
During his spare time, he builds stuff from different materials he can find. At school, he likes to do math and science. He enjoys to learn about his Filipino heritage, and happy to share it with others.


Angelina Flemming– 9 yrs. old and a third grade and honor student at Foussat Elementary School. She does modeling, doing commercials, cultural dance, and loves to play piano.
Angelina was awarded certificates on perfect homework, English, Language and Art, Math and Citizenship.
Mina Izaiana Giles attends Vista Magnet Middle School. Mina is very athletic and competitive that she has joined amateur boxing with Rhino’s Boxing. She loves to dance, socialize and teach others what she learns from her Filipino heritage culture. Mina is very artistic and enjoys drawing, painting and be crafted. She started at age six with Fil-Am pageants and ever since been very eager to learn more and share with others as she is proud to have Filipino in her blood.


Divina Saguing
KYLE McCOY is a 14-year-old who took up the guitar when he was 11. Last year, he started taking vocal and guitar lessons at the California Music Studios. He has participated in music recitals throughout the year. Recently, out of 300 performers, he was one of the top 20 that were invited to perform at the Honors Concert at Fairwinds Yvey Ranch Retirement Resort. Kyle attended Cesar Chavez Middle School in Oceanside with a 4.0 grade average. Kyle is entering high school this year, aspring to be an engineer or medical researcher someday, with the dream of becoming a professional musician.

Jasmine Alaniz – knife and batton twirling

Jasmine Monique Alaniz Born April 30th, 1994 . Will be a senior at El Camino High School. Passions are baton, fire , and knife twriling, various types of dance, and running track and field.
Is currently the 2nd Teen Princess of Oceanside and the current Ms. Teen Twrilette of Oceanside. In the near future, she plans to graduate with honors, attend a four-year university, where she will be studying medicine to become a pharmacist.
Performing to the song “Hawaii 5-0”. “I’ve been twriling for over ten years and every year, I’ve excelled in higher levels. I will be performing regular one baton showing my advanced skills then switching into a novelty knife twirling which is a new skill I’m excelling in”

1. Isaac Malit San Nicolas, 17, rancho buena Vista high school, Vista Ca, Ever since ive started i always wished to get better at my craft and do it for the fun and love of dance. Its always a blessing to recieve such nice compliments and i just love the rush i get on that stage. Feeling truly happy doing what i love to do, thats why i dance.


3. James santos Caoleng, 15, Vista CA, rancho buena Vista high school. I started dancing because I wanted to fit in with the people I hung out with and I thought i would be ‘cool’
4. Samuel Dean Moore, 14, Madison Middle School, lives in Oceanside – “I want to dance because I think dancing fits me. When I dance I don’t think about anything else. Dancing isn’t just a hobby to me. It’s my life!”

"Tunay na Mahal" by Lani Misalucha

Doriz M. Rodriguez was born in Pampanga, Tarlac, Philippines on Dec.04,1982. She was a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Music and member of performing artist of Tarlac in 2002. After college, she worked in Rembrant Hotel in Quezon City in Manila, Philippines as a part-time singer and has worked in Family Entertainment Center Inc. Storyland in Las Pinas City as a Talent by hosting birthday parties ,dancing and singing in events. She has also sung in local talents and competition. A few of Doriz’s major influences and idols are Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston, as for Filipino artists- Regine Velasquez and Lani Misalucha are her inspiration. She loves dancing and painting. Surfing the internet is one of her hobbies.

Mia is 7 years old. 7 years old 2nd Grade Parents: Morgan and Balot McCune Live in Oceanside, California all her life Dancer for 5 years Participates in National Competition Will dance “Rockstar Jazz”.
