Berley Rimadiman Newberry is 48 years old and was born in Culasian, Leyte, east side of Tacloban City, Philippines. A Nurse by profession, a business entrepreneur, she currently owns and operates Heavens Hands Eldercare, LLC. In Escondido She has been in the medical industry for over fourteen years. Her hobbies are: dancing, bowling, music, singing and enjoys outdoors activities like walking and water sports like swimming. She has assertive and outgoing personality and loves to live her life to the fullest and always a giver.

She was born on December 27, 1957 in Manila, Philippines. She was blessed with four children, one son in the Marine Corps, three daughters, two of them work at Balboa Hospital as phlybothamist and the younger one is seven years old and in second grade. She is the founder of JPS International enterprises that was established since 1992. Kristina’s JPS is hosting Karaoke on Sunday at Rookies and Wednesday at the Junkyard Karaoke.

Maricel is a nurse by profession. She currently owns and operates Vest Care Manor and Domtar Integrated Care Services located in Mission Viejo in Orange County. Maricel is also in the business of risk management and retirement planning for New York Life, Inc. She has an extensive experience in management as a General Manager of her family owned manpower business in Manila. She is a renowned lecturer and speaker both locally and internationally for business development. Maricel is currently the first Vice President of L.A. Karilagan Lions Club; she is also an active member of Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Orange County, Secretary for the Leonians of America Association and founder of Mission Viejo Filipino Youth Club and Leonians of America Youth Club. Maricel loves to give back to the community and her motto is: “forget yourself for others and others will never forget you.”

Katherine Lynn Harris Rodriguez
MRS. FIL-AM 2013
Katherine Harris Rodriguez is a 31- year old wife, mother and educator. She has been married for almost five years to Joshua Rodriguez. They have two sons – Josiah John, aged 3 and a new addition Kaleb Allen who is just 8 months old. Her life is busy being a mommy and a wife, while also teaching school. She is an eight-year veteran elementary school teacher at a year- round school. Every three months, she is fortunate to spend an entire month off with her family. She started teaching when she was twenty-three years old for the San Bernardino City Unified School District. She taught 5thgrade for one year and 1st grade for seven years. She enjoys teaching children the fundamentals of education. First grade is an important time to teach children to read. She gets gratification after every school year knowing that she taught another twenty or so children how to read. She also makes sure to plan fun and exciting adventures for her family that include simple walks to the beach, adventures to bookstores, camping, children movies at the theater and fun times at amusement parks. She is content at other time to just stay home and cuddle with her family or stay, or spend time shopping. She loves and treasures her roots and heritage from her mother, who is a Filipina, and her father, a Caucasian. She considers that her life thus far, has been extraordinary with her husband and family and she looks forward to what God has in store for them next.
