ALESSJA MORALES
AMY MONSON
Amy Monzon is a pop singer and award-winning dancer from Southern California. As a child, Amy often sang Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” over and over as she danced for a backyard full of imaginary fans. Although dance was the first passion she received training for, making music a career has always been a lifelong dream of Amy’s. Her passion for singing was fueled while performing as a member of the show choir at her high school and serving as the choir’s Dance Captain and the Student Assistant to the Director. The choir competed against many other schools in California as well as nationally. It was at those competitions where Amy was chosen over hundreds of other female students to receive the “Best Female Performer” award.
After graduating high school with high honors, Amy attended San Diego State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication. In her freshman year of college, Amy was asked to join a girl group. Although the group provided Amy with new learning experiences, she eventually decided to part ways with the group to focus on finishing her studies. Still passionate about pursuing her music career, Amy began posting cover songs on her YouTube page just a year ago, which has collected thousands of views and continues to grow. Amy is humbled by the opportunities she has had to perform at legendary venues such as House of Blues, Whiskey a Go-Go, and Gibson Amphitheater as well as local events in her hometown of San Diego, California. Amy works tirelessly toward her goal of entertaining audiences all over the world. In January of 2015, Amy released her debut single, “Love Song” with an accompanying music video and received an amazing response!
Singing has given Amy’s life incredible purpose; she is thrilled to step on the stage and share her passion with others. Amy loves creating an escape for her audience and giving her fans a way to experience a reality all their own. She also works as a voice coach to kids of all ages and enjoys her day job very much.
With her sights set on becoming the best possible pop artist she can be, Amy cannot be more excited to share with her family, friends, and fans what she has been working on.
The song is called “Love Song” by Amy Monson.
