OFFICERS
Zucette Lumabas is a registered nurse, received her BSN from UERMMMC College of Nursing, Philippines and was granted Board Certification as a Medical-Surgical Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has two sons, a daughter-in-law and grandkids. She worked in the Philippines, Illinois, Texas and in California where she retired from the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Since then, she has been able to spend more time doing community service.
She has been a member of FACO since 2001 and served as board of director (2001-2014), she’s vice-president of FACO, a chairman of Hospitality, Pinoy’s Got Talent and co-chairs other committees.
Zucette was named the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce Member of the Month for November 2013. She has been a member of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce for several years, and serves on the Membership/Ambassadors Committee.
Zucette is the president of the Oceanside Sea Lions Club 2009-2011, 2013-2015 where she received the Melvin Jones plaque, Lion of the Year, and Excellence in Membership awards. She’s a Correspondíng secretary (2011-2015), 2nd Vice-President in Las Madrinas Altar Society. She is a Board of Trustee Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis Foundation, member of Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis where she received OPK’s Bob Sample/Will Blake Service Award, Certificate of Appreciation for FB. She is also a member of UERMMMC Nursing Alumni Association of USA, Red “Red Hot” Hatters and a lifetime member of TCMC Auxillary.
Zucette is called a social media coordinator, being an administrator of FB Page OPK, FACO Typhoon Page and several FB groups such as Miss Oceanside pageant, FACO, OPK. OSLC president group, and OSLC website. She feels a great sense of self-satisfaction and purpose in volunteering. She is thankful to be given an opportunity to serve and hopes to make a difference in the community.
She enjoys babysitting, singing, watching musical shows, eating out, and traveling to different states and countries. Zucette is thankful for God’s blessings and she loves life.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Belle has become a member of Fil-Am in 2006. She is blissfully married and blessed with great children and grandchildren. She has her own business here and in the Philippines. She spent most of her life in the Philippines and migrated to the US in 2000. She finished her high school education from Jefferson Central School in 1978 in New York, USA as Rotary Exchange Scholar and finished her college education from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. She also took her Masters in Business Administration to equip her in running her own businesses. She is young at heart who loves to sing and dance, and believes in mankind's goodness.
She is a member of Rotary International, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a member of Lions Club International. Having been luckily chosen as ambassador of goodwill to the USA (1978) and to Sweden(1996) by Rotary International, she loves to promote the Philippines; thus, the FIL-AM association, being a cultural association, is very dear to her heart. She is very proud of being a Filipino and wants to share the beauty of her heritage to the world.
