2021 FACO’S VIRTUAL KABATAAN SAYAWSHOWDOWN COMPETITION

Participants should be in a group (minimum of 2 & maximum of 5).
Dancers should be from 7-19 years of age.
Must submit group “NAME” with participants’ name
Must submit history of the dance
Costumes can be traditional Filipino/modernized and represents the Filipino culture.
Music and dances must be upbeat, modern, traditional, or ethnic/tribal and associated with Filipino culture.
Finalist (Top 5) must be available to perform at our June 5, 2021 event in order to win the prizes.

RULES

Deadline for submission of application will be on or before July 10, 2021.
Audition for Virtual Performances will be on Aug. 07, 2021 (not required for costumes/props).
Virtual Semi-Final Elimination Performances for Top 5 Finalists will on August 28, 2021.
Final Competition and awards will be showcased during our 20th Fiesta Celebration on October 09, 2021.

Must virtually audition/perform on August 7, 2021 (Costumes – optional).
If chosen, groups should perform virtually or in person on August 28, 2021 for TOP 5 Semi-Finals (Costumes – optional).
Final Competition and awards will be showcased during the 20th Fil-Am Fiesta Celebration on October 9, 2021.

* If one of the Top 5 participants can’t perform on June 5, 2021, the group will be replaced by the next highest score from the eliminated groups.

INITIAL PRIZES for TOP 5 of $100 for each group.

FIRST PRIZE – $500 AND TROPHY
SECOND PRIZE – $300 AND TROPHY
THIRD PRIZE – $200 AND TROPHY
TWO CONSOLATION PRIZES of $100 for each group + TROPHY
