She was born on February 28, 1927 in Trozo, Manila, Philippines. She is 86 years old. She spent her childhood and elementary education in Trozo, Manila and went to Arellano High School, Sta Cruz, Manila. She went to Philippine Normal College and after graduation, she taught 5th and 6th grade in Moises Salvador, Sampaloc, and Manila. She was married to the late Constanta C. De La Cruz and was blessed with five children, three daughters and two sons. She has eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She has been a resident of Oceanside California since 1955. She and her late husband are both active members of the Fil-Am San Diego North County since 1970’s. She is a devoted parishioner of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish. Her hobbies are: reading, gardening, crossword puzzles and traveling including cruising.
Mrs. Asuncion “Ciony” C. Suarez
FIRST RUNNER UP
She was born on August 15, 1930 in Dagupan City, Philippines. She is 82 years old. She has been a resident of Oceanside California since 1992. She spent her childhood, elementary and high school education in Dagupan City. She was married to Celestino Suarez and was blessed with seven children, four daughters and three sons. She has eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; she is an active member of the Fil-Am San Diego North County since 1990’s. She is a devoted parishioner of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish. Her hobbies are: dancing, singing and watching TV.

THIRD RUNNER UP
She was born on January 3rd in Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines. She is now 70 years old. She spent her childhood and elementary education in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan and went to the University of the Philippines for two years and took Broadcasting course in Baguio City. After graduation, she was worked for the ABS-CBN as announcer in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. She has four children, two daughters and two sons blessing her with eight grandchildren She is an active member of the Fil-Am San Diego North County and a devoted parishioner of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish. Her hobbies are: cooking, reading, movies, crossword puzzles, sewing and shopping.
