Oceanside CA— Oceansides’ annual Independence Parade took place Saturday morning, July 1, 2017 with Chuck Atkinson, President and co-founder of the Veterans Association of North County (VANC) Resource Center, serving as Grand Marshal. This years theme was ‘Star Spangled Salute’ with more than 130 entries traveling north on Coast Highway which was lined with spectators from start to finish. The title sponsor again this year was Tri-City Medical Center with MainStreet Oceanside producing the event. KOCT carried the parade live and will be replaying the event numerous times throughout July and on demand at KOCT.org.
