Interested adult members are taught how to dance different Philippine folk dances and become a part of FACO's Cultural Dance Group (CDG) which was created in April 2010. The group performs in different occasions and places upon invitation for donation.
One of FACO's mission is to develop the youth to become responsible citizens and community leaders, as well as to teach them Philippine culture through dancing and other activities. The YCDP dance group performs at the association's events and in some community events as well.
Every year, FACO provides scholarship in the US and in the Philippines. Senior FIL-AM high school students from San Diego North County are awarded scholarships to help them in their college education. Poor but deserving students in the Philippines are given full-year high school scholarship.
Fil–Am Cultural Organization (FACO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1976.
